Joe Hobson – Joe has been in the wine and spirits industry for over 40 years, he is definitely a great person to talk to when you come to CORK. While there seems to be no end to his knowledge, he is affectionately known as “the scotch expert”. When it comes to wine, he knows a little something too. Italian wines and Pinot Noirs are his favorite, but he’ll always help you find the best wine to go with your meal or to stand on its own. He also has a vast knowledge of the microbrews in our beer cooler, and lots of advice about everything from champagnes to high-end Bordeaux and Barolos. There is no question he can’t answer, stop by and see for yourself!

Chris Sikorsky – Chris’ passion for wine goes back many years. He first became interested in collecting, while travelling to wine auctions in the United States and was quickly taken with the vast numbers and varieties from around the world. He talked with everyone who knew anything about wine and made quick connections in the industry – before he knew it, he was searching for specific wines, trying everything he could, from ’82 J.J. Prum to 1978 Clos Du Val. From there, he knew he had to find a way to make a living in this wine business.

Relying on his background in business, he enlisted the help of a fellow wine connoisseur, and started down the road to opening a “different kind of wine store.” He knew that the store had to be unique, the staff knowledgeable and customer service the focus. The store has opened, as well as another….but Chris hasn’t stopped yet – isn’t there another wine to sample?!
